
“The Geopost” is hosting the “Balkan Disinformation Summit” today (Thursday). Experts in the field from different countries around the world will participate in panels to discuss disinformation, the war in Ukraine, artificial intelligence (AI), the media, China’s influence in the Middle East, etc.
As part of this summit, Defense Minister Ejup Maqedonci will address the participants on Kosovo’s strategic communication.
Meanwhile, in the first panel on disinformation in Europe, Jashna Jelisie, Jakub Kalensky, Jana Kazas, Vladimir Sazonov and Dietmar Pichler will speak.
The Ukrainian journalists Lydmila Makey, Tatyana Synelnyk and the Ukrainian historian Vladislav Havrylov will talk about Russia’s military aggression in the war in Ukraine.
Jason Steinhauer from America will talk about disinformation in social media.
At this summit, special attention will also be given to disinformation in the Balkans and the influence of Russia, topics that will be discussed by the panelists: Milan Jovanovic from Montenegro, Boris Varga from Serbia, Rosana Aleksoska from North Macedonia, Gerta Zaimi from Albania. Ljubomir Filipovic from Montenegro and Darko Brkan from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Disinformation in the Middle East and Chinese influence are also the focus of the Balkan summit on disinformation, which will be discussed: Ruslan Trad from Bulgaria, Nicos Panagiotou from Greece, Ana Krstinovska from North Macedonia and Gil Hoffman from Israel.
American professors Janet Johnson and Michael Beam will also speak at the Balkan Disinformation Summit.
The “Balkan Disinformation Summit” starts at 9:30 a.m. and will take place at the Swiss Diamond Hotel in Pristina.
