About Us – Balkan Geopolitics

Balkan Geopolitics is a non-governmental organization (NGO) established in June 2020, based in Pristina, Republic of Kosovo. Our mission is to combat disinformation in the Balkans, expose fake news, and provide accurate, trustworthy reporting.

The organization was founded with a key objective: to pave the way for the creation of The Geopost, a news portal dedicated to high-quality investigative journalism.

Our team consists of experienced journalists from across the Balkan region, including Kosovo, Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and Bulgaria. With a deep understanding of regional dynamics and strong professional connections in Sarajevo, Belgrade, Podgorica, Skopje, and Sofia, we are uniquely positioned to challenge disinformation and uphold journalistic integrity.

And since November 2024, The Geopost became the first news platform in the region to introduce coverage in Ukrainian, thanks to the contributions of two Ukrainian journalists residing in Kosovo.

The Geopost publishes content in four languages: English, Albanian, Serbian, and Ukrainian, reinforcing our commitment to accessible and impactful journalism.

The Geopost was established with support from grants provided by the U.S. Embassy in Kosovo, TechCamp, and FLOSSK.
