The director of the so-called Office for Kosovo in the Serbian government, Petar Petkovic, disinformed that “it is the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, who is violating the Brussels agreements”, adding that “he will never establish the association of Serb-majority municipalities” . Petkovic made these disinformation statements during a meeting with France’s special envoy for the Western Balkans, René Trokaz.
What did Petkovic say?
“Today I met with France’s special envoy for the Western Balkans, René Trokaz, whom I informed in detail about all the escalating movements of Pristina and Albin Kurti and the systematic destruction of the dialog and the agreements reached in Brussels. This is evident from Kurti’s recent statement that he will never establish the Association. Belgrade is committed to dialog and acts as a constructive force. It is not possible to normalize relations if the other side of the dialogue violates all agreements.”
Analysis:
Petkovic disinformed with the recent statement that the Prime Minister of Kosovo is the one who violates the agreements made by Brussels. Kurti has recently stated that the Brussels agreement and the annex to its implementation as a whole and not just a part of it should serve as a starting point, while Kurti did not say that the association should not be established but that it should be initiated by the municipalities and according to the Constitution of Kosovo.
Therefore, Petkovic tried to change Kurti’s statements to the French envoy through disinformation.
Furthermore, Petkovic disinformed when he says that Kosovo is violating all agreements in the dialog, while Serbia is constantly violating the agreements, especially on the international stage where it is lobbying against Kosovo’s independence, while there is an article in the agreement that states that neither Kosovo nor Serbia should obstruct each other on the international stage./The Geopost/
