Former Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia and psychologist Zarko Korać said that the historical trend of the Serbian people is obsession with power, but that because of Aleksandar Vucic, people should look inwards and answer why they like the model of a patriarchal father who can punish and beat you.
Commenting on the way the Serbian government was formed, he told N1 that most of the ministers did not know that they would be in the government, that Vucic had deliberately left them trembling and afraid of whether they would be in it, that Zorana Mihajlović was informed that morning that she would not be in the new government … “This is absolutely a one-man rule,” Korac said in Novi dan.
As for the statement by the leader of the Serbian Progressive Party’s parliamentary group, Milenko Jovanov, who told ministers not to solo and that if they decided to do something like that, it was better to “resign or be silent”, Korać said he had never seen anything like that and had sat in two governments.
He pointed out that the majority of ministers in the government are completely without a biography.
“Even though the previous Minister of Agriculture was from Sremska Mitrovica, you now have a minister who has nothing to do with agriculture – in a country where agriculture is very important”, Korac said, adding that it is known that the minister (Jelena Tanaskovic) was appointed because she is a friend of the minister.
He also pointed out that Bratislav Gašić imported coffee, was called Santos in the 1990s, and had a private television which he made available to Vučić. “In every government you have weak links, accounts, and in this government most of them are like that, and that is the problem, that you cannot answer why some people are ministers”, Korać said.
“What qualifies Vulin other than the fact that he wore the uniform of Che Guevara and did not wash his hair?” asked Korac, He asked Korac and assessed that his election, if elected head of the BIA, would be a slap in the face to the West since he publicly declared himself an extremely pro-Russian politician.
The aircraft case – Vučić’s message to the domestic public
Regarding yesterday’s decision by the President of Serbia to raise the alarm over the appearance of drones that were entering the territory of central Serbia from Kosovo, Korac said that the army serves to prevent war, while in our country it serves for political threats. He also pointed out that it is ridiculous that weapons are being rattled while the war in Ukraine is going on, in a situation where Serbia is surrounded by NATO countries, and NATO also has the Bondstil base in Kosovo.
“Who are you rattling, what kind of aircrafts?” he asked and added that he knows so much that a aircraft can’t bring down a drone because it flies fast, and that it is a “typical Vučić policy that when you have a problem, you create an even bigger problem”.
He also reported that a friend who works at the Palace of Serbia told him that at a recent meeting of political activists from Kosovo with Vučić, the parking lot should have been filmed to see how many luxury vehicles were there, and half of them already had Kosovo license plates. .
Korac also said that Serbs from Kosovo are paid double wages and asked how Serbian identity is lost if you change the number plates on your car, but not if you have a Kosovo identity card and are paid by the government in Pristina. “I find this unbelievable”, he stressed.
He compared the whole situation to “a football war between El Salvador and Nicaragua”, adding that if war broke out, which of course it won’t, it would be a war over number plates, which no one would understand.
“Is the issue of number plates a reason to raise aircrafts and army?” In my opinion, everything is inward-looking and Vucic’s aim is to show that he is a strong leader, that nobody can do anything to him.”
So, as he says, it is a question of Vučić’s message to the inside, to the domestic public to show that he is strong, and much less to Kosovo and the leaders of the region and Europe.
“It’s like children in kindergarten saying – ‘my dad is stronger’, which is immature as a politician and the problem is to get used to it,” Korać stressed.
The cry of Rada Trajković – a similar situation as with Oliver Ivanović
On the cries of Rada Trajkovic, who claims that she is under house arrest and that Serbian and Albanian actors are involved in her persecution, Korać says that she has known Trajkovic since the 1990s, that she was removed from her position as director of the Health Centre by this government and that she is a harsh critic of Serbian politics in Kosovo.
Trajkovic, Korać adds, is unprotected and under attack from both Serbia and Kosovo. It was very similar, he says, with Oliver Ivanovic. “Rada Trajkovic spoke about people in the BIA that they should be questioned about the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, and she received an indictment from these people, and she is facing imprisonment or a fine,” Korać said.
He also said that Trajković is otherwise ill, and that her mistreatment resembles what happened to Ivanović.
“She is an example of the best way for extremists like those from the north of Kosovo to pave the streets of Belgrade… It is sad what kind of personal politics the government is pursuing in the north of Kosovo”, he says./Danas
