The Kosovo Force (KFOR) mission has reacted following reports of the injury and kidnapping of a Serbian citizen in Leposavic. The Kosovo police have launched an investigation into the incident.
In a response to Tevë1, KFOR stated that it was aware of the reports of the incident and that the security situation along the Administrative Boundary Line (ABL) was currently calm.
“We are aware of these reports. The security situation at the Administrative Boundary Line is calm. The Kosovo police have launched an investigation and are in close contact with various agencies, including KFOR. The Kosovo police have coordinated their activities on the Kosovar side of the ABL with KFOR. For further questions, please contact the Kosovo police,” KFOR said in its response to Tevë1.
KFOR emphasized that it was in constant coordination with the Kosovo police and other relevant institutions to ensure peace and stability in the border areas.
The Kosovo police had previously reported that on November 1, a Serbian citizen from Leposavić near the border between Kosovo and Serbia had been injured and subsequently abducted by suspected members of the Serbian gendarmerie. The investigation into this case is ongoing./Teve1/
