The signing of this agreement took place in Albania by the three defense ministers Pirro Vengu, Ejup Maqedonci and Ivan Anusic.
This agreement expands on four points: promoting cooperation in defense capacity building and defense industry; enhancing interoperability through training, education and exercises; countering hybrid threats and strengthening strategic resilience; and providing comprehensive support for Euro-Atlantic integration and regional defense.
Kosovar Defense Minister Ejup Maqedonci explained that the aim of this cooperation is not to threaten anyone, but to send a message to those who want to threaten the region.
“The purpose of this cooperation is not to threaten anyone. It is a message to those who want to threaten the region: We are showing them that we stand together and will not allow anyone to destabilize the region. The importance of this cooperation also extends to other areas, in particular the defense industry and the exchange of personnel in the framework of training, as well as the full support of the two countries in the integration of Kosovo into Euro-Atlantic structures,” said Maqedonci.
He added that this joint commitment would enable and pave the way for other countries to join this joint effort for peace, stability and greater security.
“I thank the ministers of Albania and Croatia for this initiative and welcome the fact that this agreement is the first trilateral agreement in the region. This agreement is once again a message to all countries aiming at destabilization: We stand together and expect other countries to join us,” Maqedonci emphasized.
Croatian Defense Minister Ivan Anusic said that they had managed to do a lot for the three countries in a short time.
“I thank you for everything we have achieved together so far. In a very short time, we have managed to achieve a lot for our three countries. I hope our declaration will gain more momentum and we will achieve results,” Anusic told /Telegrafi/.
