RT (Russia Today) is launching a 24-hour news channel RT Balkan, which will broadcast content in the Serbian language, it was announced through the Russian media.
The new channel, based in Belgrade, plans to broadcast propaganda content with the support of the Serbian authorities.
The EU has imposed sanctions against RT and other Russian media for their role in spreading propaganda and disinformation, especially after Russian aggression in Ukraine.
This is another attempt by Russia to deepen its malignant influence in the region, using Serbia as a platform to expand its interests.
